Business Development Manager (South West Territory)

Our client is one of the UK’s leading independent manufacturer/suppliers of cleaning and hygiene products.

They currently seek the appointment of an experienced sales professional to develop new business and build accounts within the South West area (Bristol down to Cornwall).  

You will be selling a diverse range of products ranging from dispenser and dosing, through to all manner of ancillary cleaning products/chemicals and washroom sanitary/hygiene lines.  

The successful applicant will be target driven and experienced at developing new business within a product sales role.

This is crucial as the delivery of a set new business target is paramount for this region. Ongoing ownership of accounts generated will remain for twelve months, ensuring excellent ongoing earnings potential.  Key markets include hospitality/catering and leisure although private health/nursing homes represent a huge growth market so experience of selling similar industrial products OR capital equipment into any of these would be advantageous.

Furthermore, the company is keen to exploit market opportunities within public-type/retail and facilities management, so again exposure to any of these markets would be helpful.  

Essential  ·         Successful track record of new business development (industrial product sales)·         Ideally residing in Somerset or Devon ·         A proven business ‘winner’, target driven and hungry for success·         Excellent communication & presentation skills·         Charismatic relationship builder with good account management skills ·         Competency in MS Applications  

Highly Desirable ·         Previous experience of selling similar Cleaning & Hygiene products ·         Experience selling to Hospitality/Catering and or leisure markets·         Experience of selling into private care/nursing homes·         Experience of selling to public type/retail/contract cleaners or retail types 

In return, our client offers a competitive basic salary + car/allowance and uncapped commission/bonus structure.
