Edge Recruits

Introduction

Edge Recruits has been tasked to recruit a large number of staff for Tulip sites across Cornwall, including Packing and Production Operatives, Slicers, Line Leaders and Line Supervisors primarily on a Temp to Perm basis (starting as a temporary worker supplied through Edge Recruits and then transferring to direct employment by Tulip after an agreed period service).

Tulip was a family owned business which operated out of 3 factories in Cornwall.   In June 2004, it was acquired by Tulip Ltd, the UK subsidiary company of the Danish Crown Group.  Danish Crown is a cooperative of 12,000 pig farmers in Denmark and is Europe’s largest supplier of pork.   With an annual turnover in the region of £1 billion and about 6,000 employees based across sites in the UK, Tulip Ltd leads the market, with a complete operation - from farm to fork.  Tulip’s success has been brought about by their ability to actively respond to change - investment in the latest technology has always been a priority in order to ensure Tulip is the most efficient in its field, setting the highest standards in quality control, hygiene and traceability. Tulip is proud of its achievements and of its loyal and committed workforce, who have helped to create such a successful business.
