Edge Recruits is a corporate member of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation which supports and represents recruitment professionals, businesses and agencies in the UK. One of its most important functions is to raise standards and police them across its membership. We have been independently assessed against the standards the REC lays down in its Code of Professional Practice and have been awarded REC AUDITED status as a result. Given that we supply staff into the food production sector we took the initiative to become one of the first employment businesses to be audited by the Gangmasters Licensing Authority - our licence number is THEE0001. Only a handful of the 17000 employment agencies in the UK have been independently audited and accredited against both standards so we can justifiably claim to be one of the UK's most compliant and professional recruiters.
We are proud of these achievements but what won't be immediately visible on the surface and what underpins everything that we do is our total commitment to operating in a highly ethical and inclusive manner, embracing fairness and diversity in the work place. Edge Recruits was an early signatory to the REC/Jobcentre+ Diversity Pledge and we are now undertaking the audit and accreditation process to be become recognised as Diversity Assured recruiter.
